JAYASOORYA M. A.

Jayasoorya M. A. is an actor and theatre performer based in Ernakulam, Kerala, also working out of Bengaluru.

Fifteen years on stage with Mazhavillu Children's Theatre Group and Lokadharmi, Kochi — from childhood plays to national festivals at the National School of Drama. On screen he has appeared in Malayalam cinema alongside celebrated directors, and in short films, advertisements and independent projects.

Trained in Theatre, English and Psychology at Christ, Bengaluru (2019–2022), he performs across four languages — English, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.

"From nothing.
To something.
To everything."

Acting chose me before I could choose it. Fifteen years ago it was a children's theatre group and a stage the size of my fear; today it is a national festival stage, a film set, an audition room in Bengaluru.

I have grown up in character — as a child who became an artist on the same boards. Every role, from the big screen to a classroom skit, is a chance to be honest in front of people. That is the whole craft, really: the courage to be real, and the kindness to let an audience feel it.
